A Bad Hair Day

Today Noah helped me wake Tristan up from his nap. The boys were so cute together until, DUN, DUN, DUN... Tristan got up and we saw his HAIR. I know that he needs a haircut, and am planning on giving him a bang trim tomorrow, but oh my, the bed did something crazy to his hair. I guess even beauties can have an off day.

Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes and...

chubby baby fingers. Aren't they yummy!

Saturday Mornings

Saturday mornings are my day to wake up early with the boys (Edgar's day is Sunday). Most Saturdays this is at 5:30-6:00 am so I have grown to be very grateful for Saturday morning cartoons. For the first half an hour or so I lay barely awake on the futon, waiting for the coffee to kick in, while the boys watch "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," eyes glued to the TV. After I wake up a little we play on the living room floor with the cartoons on in the background. We stay in our PJs until at least 9:00 am, which is about when Noah is ready for his first nap. I love our lazy Saturdays.

We are Wisconsin

This weekend the whole family (me the boys and my mom and dad) went to the capital for the Rally to Save the American Dream. We went to support teachers and public union workers in WI. We're teaching the boys young to take a stand for what they believe in.

Building a House

Tools may be taking over as Tristan's favorite pastime. He often combines the his two loves as he uses "tools" to fix his cars. My mom has been encouraging his love of tools by taking him to Home Depot to check out all the tools. She also bought peg boards, hinges, screws and a POWER screwdriver, all the material one needs to build a house. So this weekend Tristan and my mom built a house in her living room.

A Valentine Photo Shoot

Last week I saw a photo in "I Heat Faces" Photo Challenge of this little boy posing without his shirt on, showing off a heart tattoo. I thought it was so cute I decided the only thing cuter than one boys showing off his tattoo would be TWO boys showing off their tattoos. So I painted heart tattoos on the boys and waited for the light near our window to shine in nicely. Unfortunately the "photo shoot" did not go so smoothly. Tristan was hyper, jumping all over the bed. Noah was crabby, whining every time Tristan bounced him around on the bed. Poor Edgar kept trying to get Tristan to sit with Noah and Tristan thought it was hilarious to "fall over" with Noah. Even though I never got the pictures I wanted the "shoot" ended with everyone laughing together on the bed. Oh well... next time. I took this photo afterward, when the boys were eating the chocolate I bribed them with.

Indoor Soccer

It has been COLD for the past few days (like -15) so the boys haven't gotten outside in awhile. Yesterday we played a bit of indoor soccer in order to get some energy out. Edgar is trying really hard to teach Tristan to KICK the ball not throw it and yesterday Tristan really got it. He was whacking the ball hard with his foot. Tristan and Edgar even started training little Noah, I guess its never too early to start.
