Day out wth Thomas

This Saturday we went to the Colorado Railroad Museum for "Day out with Thomas." My mom bought us tickets for event because she knows Tristan loves Thomas and loves Choo Choo trains. She was right Tristan got a kick out of riding Thomas. The Railroad museum is pretty cool too. It is a huge area full of old trains, some of which you can enter. But I think Tristan's favorite part were the model trains. We had a hard time getting him to leave that area to see the other attractions. Noah had a good time riding around with daddy all day.

A walk through Lohi...

This Saturday we had a very lazy day. After all day at home in our pjs we decided to head out on a walk in Lohi, a cute little neighborhood two minutes from our house. We walked around Lohi towards the pedestrian bridge and then crossed it into downtown Denver. Tristan enjoyed walking across the bridge and looking down at all the cars below. At the end of our walk we stopped for some ice cream at Little Man Ice cream.

Big Jet

A couple of weeks ago we took a trip to Target to find Tristan a "Big Jet." They are his latest passion. Unfortunately we weren't able to find a Big Jet and ended up getting him Handy Manny's race car. He spent about one hour playing with the race car and then asked for a Big Jet. He was really disappointed we didn't have one, and since then, EVERYTHING has become a Big Jet- the side walk chalk, the markers, a stick, his cars...
This weekend Edgar and Tristan set out to make a Big Jet out of cardboard, while Noah watched his daddy and his big brother with interest. He can't wait to grow up and join in the play. It was not a simple Big Jet Edgar had in mind, it was pretty cool. Tristan helped daddy for a little while but didn't have the patience to wait for the Big Jet to be done. When it was finally done he had a blast with it. He played long and hard and eventually fell asleep with his new Big Jet in his arms.

Family

Tristan is trying to teach Noah to crawl.

Noah's First Food

On Tuesday Noah had his four-month appointment. Dr. Boex gave us the go-ahead to start Noah on solid foods. I was pretty excited because I hoped that it would help Noah sleep longer at night (no such luck). We started Noah on Oatmeal and he liked it! By his second feeding he was screaming for more. Tristan has had fun in his role of, big brother, helping us feed Noah. Now we have to help him understand that he can't feed his baby brother other food-like the apple I caught him trying to feed Noah yesterday.

Happy Birthday Edgar!

This year Edgar turned 32. On his birthday we went over to my parent's house for a birthday dinner. The night before Tristan and I had made birthday cupcakes so we had steak for dinner and cupcakes for dessert. Noah helped his daddy blow out his candles and Tristan thoroughly enjoyed the cupcakes. Edgar and I also spent some time alone together. We went and saw the movie, Inception. I highly recommend this movie, its our favorite movie in a long time.

Brent's Wedding

This August we attend my cousin Brent's wedding. The ceremony was in the Wisconsin countryside with the bride, groom, and the bridal party on a tiny island. It was beautiful. Afterward the dinner and reception was a Hawaiian-style pig roast. Everyone had a great time.
